ICE has functioned as a punitive, militarized arm of immigration enforcement—detaining people without meaningful due process, separating families, enabling inhumane detention conditions, and operating with a level of impunity that has allowed abuse, racial profiling, and even violence to persist unchecked.
50501 believes this is the moment to AAACT because the system is not just broken, it is fundamentally unjust, and with growing public outrage and support for dismantling ICE, there is a real opportunity to replace it with a humane, rights-based framework rooted in dignity, accountability, and community care.
Justice & Power Collective is raising funds to help the 50501 Advocacy Guild take this fight directly to Congress because transformative change doesn’t happen quietly, it requires organized pressure, resources, and a collective demand that lawmakers stop protecting harmful systems and instead advance bold legislation like the AAACT Mandate and PATH Act that reimagine immigration through justice and liberation.
It’s Time to AAACT
We’ve officially completed our first trip to Washington, D.C., and we delivered.
Our team met with legislators in both the House and Senate across 10 different states. The response? Strong, encouraging, and most importantly, action-oriented. Offices didn’t just listen, they leaned in. Many asked for follow-ups. Others connected us with additional members of Congress. The message was clear: this is the moment for policy change.
And we’re not slowing down.
With the success of our first trip, we’re scaling this effort in a big way:
June 29 – July 3: 10 advocates on the ground
September 14 – September 18: 20 advocates
November 9 – November 13: 40 advocates
We’re building a movement that shows up consistently, strategically, and in numbers that can’t be ignored.
Based on our initial trip, it costs about $750 per person to send someone to D.C. for a full session week. To execute the next three trips this year, we need to raise $52,500.
This isn’t just about travel. This is about access. Representation. Pressure.
It’s about making sure the voices closest to the issues are sitting across the table from the people writing the laws.
We’ve proven the doors will open. Now we make sure we keep walking through them, louder, stronger, and with more people behind us every time.
If you believe now is the time, help us keep the momentum going.
